Getting started
What is XOU?
XOU reviews and drafts contracts. It reads every clause, flags the terms that are one-sided or risky, suggests wording you can send back, and keeps track of the dates that matter.
Do I need to be a lawyer to use it?
No. Findings are written in plain language and each one points to the exact clause. Lawyers use XOU too: it does the first read so they can spend their time on judgement.
What does the free account include?
Parity & Creator for one person, with 0 credits to start — enough to review your first contract. No card is needed and nothing renews.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. You only add payment details if you choose a paid plan.
Using XOU
How do I get my contract into XOU?
Paste the text of the contract, or upload it as a text file.
What kinds of contracts can it review?
Commercial contracts between parties: service and supply agreements, NDAs, licences, distribution, leases and more.
Can I send my changes back as a Word document?
Yes. Export your redline as a Word file with tracked changes, ready to send.
Can XOU draft a contract for me?
Yes. Describe the deal in a few sentences and Creator drafts it. You refine it clause by clause and take it from draft to signed.
What happens when the other side replies?
Bring their reply in and XOU shows you what moved since your last round.
Does it track deadlines?
Yes. Dates and obligations found in your contracts go into a calendar, so notice windows and renewals do not slip.
Pricing & credits
What is a credit?
Credits pay for the work XOU does. Reviewing a contract uses 2 to 10 credits depending on its length; drafting one uses 2 to 6.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Top up whenever you need to, or move to a plan with a monthly allowance.
Is there a discount for paying yearly?
Yes. A year costs 10 months, so 2 months are free.
Are prices per user?
No, per workspace. Each plan includes a number of people — every plan above says how many.
Teams
Can I invite colleagues?
Yes, from Pro. Invitations are sent by email.
What is an entity?
A company you sign contracts for. Groups with several companies can give each its own positions and decide who can see what.
Security & privacy
Who can see my contracts?
Your workspace is isolated from every other. Inside it you decide who works on what, and on Team and above which companies each person can access.
Are my contracts used to train AI?
No. XOU does not use your contracts to train AI models.
Will the other side ever see my fallback positions?
Never. The positions you would fall back to and the lines you will not cross stay inside your workspace. They are never in an export, a redline or anything XOU sends out.
Can a decision be changed after the fact?
No. Accepted and refused terms are kept in a record that cannot be edited, so you can always see who decided what, and when.
Languages & the law
Which languages does XOU speak?
English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Hindi and Chinese. Your contract itself is never translated: it stays exactly as written.
Is XOU legal advice?
No. XOU gives findings and suggested wording; the decisions are yours. For high-stakes matters, involve a qualified lawyer.
Your next signature deserves a second read.
Every day before signature is the only time you can still change it.
